Directly across Gulf Blvd. from the Malibu, this is the view of the beach looking to the south. In the left back-ground you can see the location of the new, exclusive ( $500,000+) "Tides Condos" which until recently was the former location of the  "Tides Bathe Club" a worldwide  acclaimed resort which for many years was the spring training residence of the NewYork Yankees baseball team, and the honeymoon site of Joe Di Maggio and Marilyn Monroe.        

It should be noted, that while the Malibu is not located directly on the Gulf water front, the actual distance from your room to the Gulf surf ( about 500 ft.) is often much shorter than many facilities which list themselves as "beach front", (ex. many location on Clearwater and St. Petersburg Beaches) which, like the Malibu, may be located on the main land side of Gulf Blvd, or often have buildings to their west blocking entirely the view of the Gulf.                   

  Historical data shows that our area boasts an incredible 98% chance of sunshine. Before the area became so popular with tourist and permanent residents, the St. Petersburg Times newspaper would give away for free their newspaper if the sun did not shine sometime during the prior 24 hours.

We're located directly across Gulf Blvd. from miles of broad white sandy beaches where the gentle gulf surf, with an average water temperature of 78*F, makes year round sun-bathing and  swimming a truly enjoyable experience. This area of Florida boasts  sunshine an incredible 98% of the time, giving it one of the highest sunshine rates in the country.

The Malibu is a 25 unit facility with motel (10), efficiencies (12) and one bedroom apartments(3).  All units are carpeted, have ceramic tile bathrooms with full size tub/showers, individual climate control heat & A/C units, ceiling fans, color cable TV, refrigerators and individual outside room seating areas. We have a large 20 ft. X 40 ft. heated pool with a very generous shaded lounging area, B. B. Q. grills, shuffleboard, and for the children and pet a playground across the street  to the east.
